Courtney S. Atkins founded Mossy Point Publishing, LLC in September 2021 in Baltimore, Maryland.
"All too often, writers with unique and innovative voices are passed over by the major publishing houses. These writers are passionate about their work, and it shows in what they produce. These writers have something to say, something that will benefit society. At Mossy Point Publishing, LLC, we want to give those writers the platform they deserve. We want to be the place where new voices and innovative writing come to thrive!"

The Divided States of America
A Novel
by
Edward Newton
(COMING DECEMBER 2025!)
Is America on the brink of another civil war?
Ten years ago, the political divide in America led to a peaceful separation between broad, red, rural regions and densely populated, blue cities. The new countries formed a fragmented map, and the two nations now coexist in a fragile balance. However, long-standing historical resentments simmer between the ideologically different populations, with the risk of an unstable peace erupting into full-scale conflict.
Abra Colorado is a fiery conservative from the Republic, a gun-toting Red who follows logic and believes in a higher power. Professor Barry Royale is a staunch liberal from the Progressive Districts of Earth, a pacifist Blue who follows his heart and believes in the greater good. Brought together to navigate the two disparate nations formed from the former United States, they must thwart enemy forces trying to disrupt the fragile coexistence. Only the mutual efforts of two people, one from each end of the political spectrum, can save the day.
In this fast-paced thriller, Abra and Barry race across reimagined borders, facing threats from both friends and enemies. Is war between nations unavoidable, or can two opposites rally enough allies to prevent escalation? Does romance flourish, or will their conflicting beliefs extinguish their initial attraction? Can they at least cooperate until they save the future of the two Americas?
The Venge
A Novel

(COMING WINTER 2026!)
It was a worldwide war that lasted only seconds.
Nuclear warheads illuminated the sky like dying stars. Billions vanished in an instant. Mighty cities were reduced to ashes. Civilians became survivors.
But six months after the bombs fell, something else arrived, something shockingly terrifying.
Most people caught in the blast zones were vaporized. However, some weren’t killed. Some clawed their way through the fallout, mutated by the radiation into something unrecognizable: the Venge.
The Venge were horrific beasts with scorched skin, blood the color of orange, pus-filled wounds, and razor-sharp, jagged teeth. Bursting at the seams with pure rage, the eyes of these demented and murderous monsters resembled sandpaper, and the smell they emitted was incredibly foul. Some roamed like twisted beacons in the dark, while others hunted in packs like rabid wolves.
For James Carney, survival was a daily war, scavenging scraps of food and clean water with his brother and son, always listening for the Venge and always ready to run. It wasn’t much of a life, and James knew it.
But if there was still a future out there, still hope—someone had to fight for it. Could that someone be him?
